What is Gallery 37?

• A downtown art center and education program dedicated to providing meaningful employment and education in the arts without regard to gender, race, family income level or physical ability;

• This unique job-training program allows young people, ages 14-21, to earn a paycheck while creating visual, literary, culinary, performing and graphic art under the direction of professional artists;

• A mentoring program between youth and established artists;

• A highly visible program that increases public awareness of the importance of the arts and arts education;

• A series of year-‘round art programs throughout Chicago that foster cultural awareness and makes the arts accessible to people of all ages.
