 What is MASS MoCA?

in the Berkshire mountains of Western Massachusetts;
- A place that provides space, tools, and time for artists, cultural institutions and businesses working in sculpture, theater, dance, film, digital media and music to create new work, sometimes in partnership with high technology and new media companies;
- A series of historic buildings where past is layered on present, and present on future, integrating texture and space to create an esthetic of its own.
